If you do see wounds or flies, the fawn needs to be brought to the rehabilitation facility. Make sure to transport it in a tall tote with lots of paper towels for cushioning their tender hooves and not a lot of room for the animal to move in order to prevent further injury. “Don’t turn on your car radio or drive around turns quickly,” Layton-Robbins says. “And if you’ve messed up and fed the baby, get here as
quickly as possible.” Always Call Ahead
For both Crab Alley and Frisky’s, please call ahead and listen to the message on their voicemail. Crab Alley is able to help raccoons whereas Frisky’s cannot. And both rehabilitation facilities maintain strict hours and policies. But both are incredible, donation-based organizations that help people like me in those moments where a small
animal needs help, and you need an expert! Frisky’s Wildlife & Primate Sanctuary (410) 418 - 8898 Crab Alley Wildlife Sanctuary (410) 739 - 9132
