During the holidays, Anne Arundel County transforms into a winter wonderland highlighted by family-friendly activities and festive charm. From luminous displays to shopping extravaganzas, there’s a holiday tradition for everyone. Here are some of our favorite festivities. Midnight Madness | Downtown Annapolis The first two Thursdays of December from 4:00 pm until 12:00 am and the third Thursday of December from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm Whether you’re a retail therapy advocate or checking off your gift list, Midnight Madness will surely bring cheer to your shopping experience. Select stores in downtown Annapolis will remain open until midnight with holiday displays, treats, special discounts, and sales for holiday shoppers. Lights On The Bay | Sandy Point State Park November 19 - January 1 $20.00 per car | $5.00 for 3D glasses Driving through “Lights on the Bay” at Sandy Point State Park has become a tradition for many Anne Arundel County families. Enjoy a scenic drive along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay with more than 70 spectacular animated and stationary displays illuminating the roadway. You can even purchase 3D glasses to heighten the experience. Chocolate Binge Festival | Downtown Annapolis

Enjoy shopping, live entertainment, and all the chocolate you can eat while strolling along the first block of West Street during this annual event. Chocolate vendors will sell chocolate truffles, caramels, bars, fudge, cookies, cakes, martinis, French macaroons, cupcakes, pies, brownies, and more. Sample taste tickets will be on sale as well.
