Eastport Dining: An Evening at Blackwall Hitch
by Kevin Devine
Walk through the iconic yellow doors of Blackwall Hitch, and you're immediately greeted with energy. A private event was happening in the downstairs bar during my wife and I’s visit, and it couldn’t have been in a better spot—tucked into the main flow of the restaurant, but still feeling like its own vibrant hub. Upstairs, my wife and I made our way to the rooftop bar and dining area. It featured the same stylish décor and lively atmosphere, but with a side of sunshine and a view of the State House. On a clear day, it’s hard to beat this rooftop’s ambiance. We were seated right away and met by Jaden, our server— an absolute pro. Friendly, efficient, and full of great recommendations, he knew the menu inside and out. From drinks to desserts, he offered insights that helped guide every choice. He’s a Blackwall Hitch veteran, and it shows. If you go, definitely ask for him.
