The Motherlode Spring 2024: Women at the Helm

Our office has a rental assistance program, and we found that many of the applicants also requested financial education. I am currently working with the Office of Community Services in Gaithersburg to bring their free financial education and empowerment program here to Annapolis.

If I could go back and tell my younger self anything, it would be you don’t have to be any one thing. You don’t have to settle on any one career. And follow your passion and it will be okay.

Be brave and embrace the adventure. When you are doing something you really believe in, it all works out.

The inception of my business was a necessity-driven venture that evolved into an opportunity to address the cleaning needs of hardworking families. This personal endeavor transformed into a collective mission, growing from an individual effort to a cohesive team of nearly 30 members.... This leap into entrepreneurship was propelled by the desire to create value not only for myself but for a broader community, marking the core of our company’s foundation.

I’m very excited about the work AACPL is doing to support public health initiatives. We opened a community pantry in 2021 that supports families and menstruating residents, launched a gun lock program in 2023, and are soon to begin providing Narcan and other life-saving items in two libraries in 2024.
