by Duffy Perkins

YES, TODAY served at Leo Annapolis

Whether you consider yourself sober, sober curious, or just trying to cut back on the weekly number of alcoholic drinks, going out is one of the biggest challenges to not drinking. However, drinking less is a popular trend, and getting more traction as the benefits of not imbibing stack up. Luckily, many local restaurants are taking an opportunity to put unique mocktails on their menus. Here are some of our favorites:

Pineapple, tamarind, lime, maple simple syrup This different, punchy beverage pairs perfectly

with seafood or vegetarian meals. GEORGIA IN THE FALL served at Vin 909 Winecafé

Peach, lemon, mint, fresh ginger, and ginger ale When you really want a dark and stormy, but you really don’t want a dark and stormy, this beverage is a true winner. AMARO SPRITZ served at Preserve Amaro Lucano zero proof, Club soda, and orange peel Amaro Lucano is an Italian herbal liqueur. Finding the zero proof saves you the wormwood, but you also get the Mediterranean flavors of myrtle, rosemary, and citrus. We love this drink on a winter evening. UNTITLED ART NA JUICY IPA served at Pearl Annapolis Not all NA (non-alcoholic) beers are alike. Untitled Art has created a beautiful IPA with citra and mosaic hops. It has a tropical taste and the feeling of an IPA that’s perfect with a good sandwich. CLEAN MARGARITA served at True Food Kitchen CleanCo tequila, carrot juice, orange juice, jalapeño, mint This is such a fun drink that your drinking friends will order it full proof. FOR FOX SAKE served at Fox’s Den Elderflower, ginger, lemon, and mint foam The zero-proof version of one of their most popular cocktails, the For Fox Sake is the best precursor to a delicious slice of pizza or pasta.
