CHILDREN’S THEATRE OF ANNAPOLIS (CTA) | ANNAPOLIS Offering premier arts education and productions since 1959, CTA nurtures the love of theatre and performing for children between the ages of 5 and 18. Beyond learning to act on stage, CTA builds children’s confidence through audition workshops, masterclasses with professional actors, and behind-the-scenes training in all aspects of theatre management. Learn all aspects of stage acting, from singing and dancing to fencing! After-school and Saturday morning classes are available, as well.
THE COLONIAL PLAYERS | ANNAPOLIS Located in the heart of Annapolis just off Maryland Avenue, the Colonial Players is a non-profit acting community with an open casting policy. All auditions are open to the public, and no roles are pre-cast, allowing younger actors the opportunity to come on the scene organically. The best part is that tickets are affordable, often costing less than $20 for a great seat. Upcoming Performances: Alabama Story | January 10 - February 1 COMPASS ROSE THEATER | ANNAPOLIS With career professionals and talented students sharing the stage, Compass Rose Theater provides opportunities for training in acting and design. The Young Actors’ Studio teaches theater techniques and acting in a professional, working theater setting.
