PARTNERS IN CARE MARYLAND, INC. is a volunteer-based nonprofit supporting the independence of older adults (ages 60+) through a unique Service Exchange/ Time Banking model, where members exchange their time and talents to help one another. They support the individuals that paved the way for us to be here today. Their Transportation Program offers arm-in-arm, door- through-door rides to essential destinations. Repairs With Care, their handyman program, provides home safety improvements and small repairs. The Member Care Program focuses on advocacy, social engagement, and building community connections, to prevent social isolation and loneliness. Additionally, Partners In Care has an Upscale Resale Boutique that supports the organization financially while creating volunteer opportunities for members. They empower older adults to age in place with dignity and respect. Last fiscal year, Partners In Care provided over 5,300 rides for Anne Arundel County seniors to get to medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores, hair salons, and more. Visit partnersincare.org to learn more about volunteer opportunities or donate to support their mission.
